Bert and Jessie’s eldest son, Albert Fox (b. 1908-d.1974), began work as a trainee mechanic before later undertaking building work. In 1933, he married Jessie French; an orchardist’s daughter from Tally Ho, and the couple moved into a house in Morack Road, Vermont. This property is now a kindergarten and part of the Morack Public Golf Course. Around this time, Albert availed himself of the opportunity to purchase his father Bert’s orchard in Centre Road, Vermont. In the 1940s, Albert constructed a new one-bedroom house for his parents on property near the east corner of Beddoe and Centre Roads, where the units are today. An older, two-bedroom house present when Bert Senior purchased the property in 1918, was left standing at the time.
